This Firkin whisky is a heavily peated single malt from Caol Ila distillery in Islay, Scotland, was finished in a custom cask made from American Oak and French Oak staves and seasoned with Marsala. It's botted at 48.9% ABV.

True to Firkin form, it really is 'downright drinkable'!

The day the shipment of these bottles arrived, Chris and his neighbour Alex cracked a bottle and just couldn't put it down. After going through about a quarter of it, they were gripped with an overwhelming craving for steak.

So Alex fried up some Wagyu (inside rib eye cap from WagyuWhisky - http://www.wagyuwhisky.com.au/) in a pan, we dipped it in Rengaya's (North Sydney Yakiniku) Signature BBQ Sauce and chased it down with this Firkin beautiful Caol Ila. There's only half a bottle of it left now and Alex ordered a case.
