possible point from Islay to source casks for this year’s whisky.

That other remote farming island where sheep have also been known to outnumber people by 7:1. Hence in 2020, Ardbeg will celebrate the theme of ‘Black Sheep’, because we like to think of ourselves as a little bit different too.

Colour: Deep cherry blossom
Nose: Baked summer fruit pudding, Cedar wood/cigar box, smoky jam tarts, oak tannins, truffles.With water an intense ‘bitter cherry’ scent, a curious salty/savoury note, and then some lovely, perfumed violet notes.
Palate: A velvety/mouth furring texture leads into delicious symphony of contrasting flavours — savoury & sweet and the same time. Aniseed & soot, summer fruits (cherries, strawberry's, apricots and pears), pastry/cake mix, dark chocolate, coffee and more bitter cherries and almond.
Taste: A long lingering sooty finish.
