At TWL we love giving away whisky to share.
As a small thank you for all your ongoing support and to celebrate the launch of the new "Review" feature, Chris and Oliver decided why not make it a little bit more fun.
For the rest of 2021, every whisky you review automatically grants you an entry for a monthly giveaway only for TWL members. And we figured, why limit to to just reviewing whisky. Anytime you use TWL as a logged in member, you automatically go into the running to win a monthly prize.

Wait? You're saying if I search for a whisky, review a whisky or buy a whisky on TWL I go into the running to win whisky? YES. Just remember to be logged in.
What's the review criteria?
Alongside the existing TWL rating feature (rate a whisky out of 5 hearts), you now can review a whisky across 5 specialised criteria:
- Aroma Enjoyment
- Taste Enjoyment
- Body & Mouthfeel
- Balance & Complexity
- Finish / Length
Each one of these criteria has a small red (?) symbol next to them which when hovered over provides a quick overview and helpful guide on how best to judge a whisky on that specific criteria.
What's the thinking behind the review criteria?
Quite simply, we've consulted with various people (both TWL users and people in the whisky industry) who know this stuff to try to simplify the whole rating/review system, remove the wank essentially.
No complicated 100 point system, no obscure jargon, just honest reviews.
These honest reviews help TWL users decide if they want to buy that bottle. That's it.
