Good evening fellow Whisky Lovers.
A big thank you to those of you who joined us at our “Untamed Whiskys of the World Pt.2” event featuring Feral Brewing. It was surely a night to remember. For those of you that were unable to attend have no fear! Our next event is just around the corner, and WHAT a line up!
It has been a long time in the making but we are finally ready to announce The GlenDronach Batch #17 & Rare Selection Event. The canape catered whisky tasting consists of 6 very Rare Drams & will take place at 7pm on Wednesday the 11th of March at a ticket price of only $59.
It is with great excitement we announce that this event will be hosted by a GlenDronach heavyweight, Global Brand Ambassador, Stewart Buchanan. Who will be walking us through an amazing collection of GlenDronach’s coveted Batch #17 Edition.
This multi award winning distillery nestled deep in Scotland’s East Highland hills is home to some of most well-known, and highly regarded single malts in the world. They have made a well-earned name for themselves in the industry as kings of the sherry category and connoisseurs of the craft, pioneering the unique Spanish sherry cask ageing process since 1826
For this event we will be exploring the Batch #17 Edition, A child of Master Blender Rachel Barrie who selected 14 single casks to bottle as part of an annual series. The Batch #17 truly celebrates the GlenDronach house style of robust, fruity and full-bodied flavours.
Also gracing the tables will be a recently re-discovered batch of the Cask Strength Batch 3 series! Adding to the collection a 26yr old private bottling from The Whisky List.
It wouldn’t be a Websters Famous Boiler Maker Event without pairing these drams with some epic brews and we didn’t need to look very far. Pairing alongside such an impressive range of whisky the Local Legends at Akasha Brewing have helped match up the perfect beers as palate cleansers for the evening. As an extra added bonus the Akasha Brewing Co, A Local Brewery made up of passionate beer enthusiasts whose only goal is to bring YOU the beer that YOU want, have joined forces with the team at Websters Bar and GlenDronach Distillery to bring to this event a very special New England Indian Pale Ale! This NEIPA, cleverly entitled “The Wilde Child”, has spent its last moments steeping in GlenDronach 12yr soaked oak wood chips to bring a rich fruity character to an already complex and juicy brew.
To accompany these pairing we will be serving Roaming canapes designed to complement your tasting experience. For this menu we will be serving Panco Crumbed Haggis Slider w/ apple & fennel slaw, Scotch egg w/ a whisky spiked tomato relish and a traditional Scottish smoked Fish & Chips w/ mushy peas. Canapes will be served on arrival and through the evening so don’t be shy and dig on in!
