Corowa Characters
Rebirth of a NSW heritage town filled with history
In an old abandoned flour mill near the banks of the Murray River, southern NSW, there is a town steeped in Australian history. From an era of gold rush, to hosting the first meeting paving way for Australian federation (1893), to the farmers who have survived and prospered through grit, determination and perseverance.
It's this ethos of Corowa and the people behind it, that represent a truly authentic Australia that has given birth of Corowa Distilling Co.
If you haven't seen it yet - make sure you watch their amazing launch video below showcasing the people, process and town behind this great Aussie venture.
Welcome to Corowa Distillery. Made here. By us.
Established in 2009, when founder Neil and Dean Druce purchased the derelict 1920's Corowa Flour Mill for the vast sum of $1 from local council, with the promise they would restore it to its former glory and be the new home of Corowa Distillery.

Their tag line is "Made here. By us." and they mean it. Everything is sourced locally. The barely is grown in neighbouring farms, the mighty Murray river supplies the water and the copper stills were built from craftsman in Griffith just 250km north. Corowa embodies local and it shows in their passion.

Corowa Single Malt Whisky Range
Corowa have released a number of expressions since launching, including Bosque Verde (port cask), Private Notes (apera), Quick’s Courage (pedro ximenez) and Mad Dog Morgan (muscat). But what's most interesting to us as of late is their quest to bottle an Australian single malt whisky for under $100; which they have done and it's delicious!
