T'was in the darkest depths of a Sydney bonded warehouse, a long, forgotten crate was found.
Calls were made to trace it's origin. Who had sent it and where did it come from?
All they had was a serial etched into the wooden sides - Jack's Single Barrel Selection.
This just raised more questions. Who was this Jack? What was this barrel he was selecting?... succumbed finally to curiosity, the workers peaked inside.
Astonishment and shock quickly faded, as smiles peaked on every face, eye's glistening with awe.
One even whispered "That colour, it's beautiful" as they held a bottle into the light. At long last, the lost casks of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel - Australian Selection had finally be found!
Being massive fans of well put together single cask and barrel releases we are stoked to be trying an Australian exclusive from Jack Daniel's - a Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey!
Unlike your traditional Jack, this one is perfect for sipping, or with some ice. Best of all, this is an Australian Exclusive and (finally) an American whiskey the yanks will need to fly down under to try.
What makes the Single Barrel range from Jack Daniel's special is that every drop is truly unique as each barrel imparts its own flavour and character. Only barrels from the top floor of the barrel house where the climate change affects it the most are selected. Straight away they're decanted and bottled, with no blending, just the one cask fully enjoyed straight from the barrel. And once gone, there will be none left!

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Australian Selection – Australian Exclusive Bottling Review:
Nose: More wood than the Old No.7 with strong hints of banana, dark toffee, some high-sweet smelling corn syrup. A waft of smouldering oak ash and some baking spices - nutmeg and cinnamon predominately. Busy but balanced.
Palate: Rich with good depth and a more palate coating, clingy sweetness. Classic Jack Daniel's toffee and brown sugar joined by ripe banana and oranges. Wood morphs into almost a sandalwood box perfume and flavour with some spice and a touch of dryness coming on the back palate. The extra 5% ABV seems to really dial everything up a notch in all the best ways. A decently complex American whiskey for those who are afraid to dabble outside single malt territory.
Finally, one last announcement. A bottle of this exact deliciousness will be added to the competition prize pool that already contains the Jack Daniel's Tennessee Rye for one lucky winner in the next week or two. Stay tuned for how to win this growing pile of super approachable and delicious whiskies!
