The idea for Helvetica was born around a kitchen table in December 2006 with a desire to establish a venue after another frustrating night in Perth searching for an appropriate bar. Helvetica was derived quite naturally. A space was required that made people feel at home, tucked away and hidden somewhere within the bustling cityscape. The laneway offers a great place to disappear to and view the city from a different perspective.

Helvetica has a range of over 500 different whiskies including some of their own bottlings with great beer, wine, and cocktails to compliment. There are regular tastings hosted at the bar by the incredibly knowledgeable staff to help educate guests, introduce people to new, interesting whiskies and share rare and incredible drams with as many as possible.
